Pls do NOT use &quot;canned air&quot; to try and clean a fiber connector---it will leave residue and cause more problems then it helps. If you use alchol, pls use 99.9% or better---not what you get at your local store. Never use a figure 8 for cleanning. The tape method is probably the best for a novice and you can buy a Cletop from 100&#039;s of companies.
This looks like an add for a company to sell you cleanning stuff. If this is their expert---run!</description>

		<description>Interesting information. It is pretty misleading in many areas, very incomplete, and plain wrong in others. As an optical physicist that has been involved in fiber optics for almost 20 years I find things like this on the web to hurt more than help others understanding.
